Candace Reece Founder/President
Candace Reece is an Empowerment Strategist, Speaker, and Visionary Founder, whose life’s work is rooted in resilience, purpose, and the unwavering belief that every woman deserves to wear her crown. After overcoming years of financial, emotional, and mental abuse, Candace walked away, into a difficult road of rebuilding her life — not just for herself, but for her children. That journey awakened a deeper calling: to make sure no woman ever has to rebuild alone.
In 2023, that calling became Kandake Living, a nonprofit named after the legendary warrior queens of the Kush Kingdom which is now the South Sudan region in Africa. “Kandake,” meaning queen, represents strength, sovereignty, and service — women who ruled nations and crowned kings, and always cared for their people with fierce devotion. Through Kandake Living, Candace envisions safe, supportive housing and holistic resources for women and children healing from domestic violence, intimate partner abuse, or homelessness. It’s more than shelter — it’s a space to rebuild, restore dignity, and remember their worth.
But Candace’s mission didn’t stop there. Knowing that healing extends beyond safety, she created Reclaim Your Crown, a coaching and empowerment platform dedicated to helping women break free from cycles of abuse, self-doubt, and limitation. Through workshops, one-on-one coaching, and transformational programs, Candace guides women back to themselves — helping them rebuild confidence, reclaim boundaries, and rise into the queens they were always meant to be.
Candace’s work is a living testament to her belief: “You are a queen! Not because someone crowned you, but because as God's child, you were born one.” Her mission is simple but powerful - to build spaces, programs, and communities where women not only survive, but reign.
